A pupil of the ASACS International Staff College, Bwari, Abuja has died after sustaining a head injury in the school’s inter-house sports event on Tuesday.
The pupil, Michael Paul Ogbe, was a final year pupil of the school and was set to resume his tertiary education in Canada before he met his demise.
His mother, Marian Nnanna Ogbe, said the deceased lost his father when he was four-years-old. She told Punch that she had been in charge of taking care of him since then. She lamented the loss of her son saying the school could have saved his life if they acted swiftly in taking him to hospital.
“We had to force him to go on Tuesday.
“Michael was a computer wiz-kid. He wanted to work as a computer security expert in government or a telecommunications company,” she said.
Michael was said to be the best science pupil in the school.
