U-20 W/Cup: African Teams Handed Tough Draws

African teams have been handed tough draws in the forthcoming Under-20 World Cup in South Korea.

Zambia, the reigning U-20 African champions, have been drawn alongside Portugal, Costa Rica and Iran in Group C while Guinea are with hosts, South Korea, Argentina and England.

South Africa will battle Uruguay, Italy and Japan in Group D while Senegal, the only African representative who got a fair group, will face USA, Saudi Arabia and Ecuador.

The tournament will kick off on 20 May with Guinea squaring up against South Korea in Jeonju.

Group A: South Korea, Argentina, England, Guinea

Group B: Germany, Mexico, Venezuela, Vanuatu

Group C: Portugal, Costa Rica, Zambia, Iran

Group D: Uruguay, Japan, Italy, South Africa
