UNICAL To Stop Awarding ‘Pass’ Grade

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof Zana Akpagu, has said the institution will stop scoring students a “pass” grade. Prof. Akpagu said this during the universtity’s pre-convocation press briefing. The institution’s 30th convocation ceremony holds Saturday, March 11 2017 as 13, 347 students are expected to graduate. The VC said the convocation would also serve as an opportunity to flag off an ultra-modern medical center project.

Akpagu said Umaru Kwabo, Daniel Chukwudozie and Brig Gen Anthony Ukpo rtd are some of the prominent Nigerians the institution will confer honorary degrees on.
