The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has denied media reports saying it raided the home of former governor of Gombe state, Danjuma Goje on Thursday.
Reports in online media had claimed the commission raided Goje’s Abuja home and found vital documents.
The Spokesperson for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, told Punch in a text message that the reports were false.
“Please disregard online reports claiming the EFCC today, April 20, raided the Abuja home of Senator Danjuma Goje. The report is false as the commission was not part of such an activity,” the message read.
The ex-governor turned senator, stands trial at a Federal High Court for alleged fraud. He was said to have spent N1 billion on dictionaries for primary school pupils.
