Manchester United have been drawn to play Spanish side Celta Vigo in the semifinal of the UEFA Europa League. The Red Devils edged Anderlecht in their quarterfinal match on Thursday at Old Trafford to qualify.
Jose Mourinho’s men needed an extra time strike by Marcus Rashford to secure qualification, their highest achievement in the competition. Their initial height was the quarter finals in far back 1985.
The match is the first time the Premier League team will play Celta Vigo competitively.
In the second draw, Dutch side Ajax were paired with French side Olympique Lyonnais. The Dutch side beat Schalke 4-3 on aggregates to qualify despite going down 3-2 in Germany. Lyon on their part, needed penalties to advance against Turkish giants Besiktas.
The first leg matches will be played on 4 May , with the second on 11 May.
