Some unidentified gunmen have allegedly killed a businessman, Bello Danbuba, 50, alongside his teenage son, Aliyu Danbuba, in Gandi village, Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State. The incident happened on Thursday.
It was gathered that Danbuba and his son had gone to a farm, where they keep caravan of camels. The attackers had trailed their victims to the place and shot them before taking off.
The gunmen were also said to have left the animals and the deceased’s belongings untouched.
The state police spokesperson, El-Mustapha Sani, confirmed the incident. He said the two victims had since been buried in their hometown.
Sani said the state Commissioner of police, Mohammed Abdulkadir, directed the deployment of more patrol teams in the region. He added that a manhunt had since been launched into the matter.
