A man arrested for stealing a pastor's shoes has explained the reason behind his action. Moshood Fatai said he had observed the pastor, Johnson Emeka, had pairs of expensive shoes. He told the Isolo Magistrates Court that he stole the shoes because he felt he could get a sizeable amount of money from the sale to help him buy tools for his furniture business.
PM Express reports that Fatai broke into the pastor's residence on Shonubi street in the Ago-Okota area of Lagos to steal the shoes. He as caught by the security guard as he was trying to escape.
The presiding Magistrate, A.O Ogbe granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in the like sum. He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition and the case adjourned till 10 May.
