David Babachir Lawal, suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ayo Oke, is allegedly under security watch. According to Daily Sun, President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the duo be surveilled pending the outcomes of a three-man panel presidential investigative committee.
The investigative committee comprises the Attorney-General of the Federation, Minister of Justice and the National Security Adviser, chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. They are expected to handle the investigations and relay the outcome to the President in 14 days’ time.
The SGF and Oke were suspended from office, yesterday, by President Muhammadu Buhari, who also ordered their investigation over alleged involvement in corruption.
