Darius Ishaku, Taraba State Governor, has said that fleeing Boko Haram members from Sambisa forest are regrouping in a forest, Suntai Daaji, in his state. Ishaku said this while receiving Maj. Gen. Adamu Abubakar, general officer commanding, GOC, of 82 army divisionm Enugu, who paid him a courtesy visit.
He urged the military to deploy special forces to the area to stop the “regrouping Boko Haram insurgents and other terrorists in the state. The Suntai Daaji forest cut across Bali and Donga local government areas and the Gashaka/Gumti national park in the state.
Ishaku also said ranching remains the best solution to the clashes between farmers and grazers as well as cattle rustling in the state.
Abubakar urged Ishaku to grant amnesty as a way of mopping up the arms available to the criminals.
