Low Drops Ozil, Others From Confederations Cup Squad

Germany coach Joachim Low has dropped Mesut Ozil, Toni Kroos and Thomas Muller from his Confederations Cup squad. The tactician also left out Jerome Boateng, Sami Khedira, Mats Hummels and Mario Gomez from the team. The players have been given an end of the season break.

Manuel Neuer, Mario Gotze, Julian Weigl and Benedikt Howedes are missing through injury while Marco Reus has been left out to rest after a season full of injuries.

Germany are in Group B with Cameroon, Australia and Chile. The tournament will begin on July 2, 2017 in Russia.
