Monaco have won the Ligue 1 title, their first in 17 years. The side claimed the title after beating St. Etienne at the Stade Louis II on Wednesday.
Kylian Mbappe scored the team’s first goal after 19 minutes before Valere Germain scored the second with the final kick of the match.
Monaco’s 11th straight victory bumped them up to 92 points, six ahead of PSG, and they can match the capital club’s single-season record of 30 wins in Saturday’s final game at Rennes.
The club last won the league with now Southampton manager Claude Puel. He led a team with Fabien Martinez, David Trezeguet and Will Sagnol in the 1999-2000 title.
