UTME Candidate Carries Gun Into Exam Centre

A candidate for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Exam, UTME, has been arrested with a locally-made pistol at the Nasarawa State Polytechnic. Bashir Lawal-Kano, the state commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, told newsmen in Lafia, the capital of the state, on Thursday. The said candidate was sought out during a search conducted on participants at the entrance of the examination hall. The pistol has in it
