Acting President Yemi Osinbajo will today (Tuesday) meet with traditional rulers from the north. The meeting is a continuation of ongoing talks over the threat by youths to Igbos in the area.
In a tweet by Laolu Akande, Osinbajo’s senior special assistant on media and publicity, he said the Acting President had hosted the rulers to Iftah, breaking of fast, on Monday evening at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa. He said talks would continue today to find a way out of the impending crisis in the region.
Youth leaders from the region had issued a quit notice to Igbos resident in the area asking them relocate to the south-east before October 1, 2017.
