13 Survive Lagos Building Collapse

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has said that it has rescued over 13 people from the rubbles of a collapsed building on Lagos Island. The building was said to have collapsed on Massey Street on Tuesday trapping many.

Adesina Tiamiyu, the General Manager of LASEMA, said the incident occurred around 2:43pm. He siad the agency's Response Unit, the National Emergency Agency, the Lagos State Ambulance Service, the Lagos State Fire Service, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Red Cross and the police were on the sight to assist the rescue operation.
