Chukwuneta Emmanuel, who impersonated an official of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, reportedly chattered a vehicle, drugged the driver and took over vehicle.
According to Vanguard, the suspect approached the driver of a Toyota Sienna bus, Oluwaseun Johnson, at about 9a.m. at a Benin park in Akure. He requested the vehicle take him to Asaba, the capital of Delta State.
When the driver of the bus, arrived in Asaba, he checked into a hotel to spend the night and the suspect bought a beverage, spiked it and gave same to the driver to take before sleeping, after the long journey. Vanguard learned that the suspect then drove the vehicle to an unknown destination, while the driver was under the influence of the drug. The victim raised alarm when he woke up later to find his car gone. The impersonator was tracked and arrested him in Anambra State.
