Gunmen Storm Fueling Station, Abduct Owner

 

Some unidentified gunmen have stormed a Mobil filling station in Keffi, Nasarawa State, killing the manager before abducting the owner.

DSP Kennedy Idirisu, spokesperson for the Police Command in the state, told newsmen on Friday that the incident happened on Wednesday night.

He said the gang shot the manager of the station, Saidu Abdullahi, in the leg and whisked away the owner identified as Yaro Talle.

Abdullahi, who was rushed to the hospital allegedly died afterwards.

Idirisu said the policemen at Keffi Division had received a distress call over the incident and promptly mobilized to the scene.

He added that the command would ensure the release of the victim unhurt.

Also, the spokesman urged members of the public to be vigilant and always inform the police on any suspicious activities to help rid the state of criminal elements.

More so, a source close to the victim who pleaded anonymity said the abductors had contacted his family and demanded a N30m ransom.
