A pandemonium has occurred following a clash between officials of the Lagos State Environmental Enforcement Task Force and hoodlums at the Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos. The task force officials, who are mainly policemen, had attempted to raid commercial motorcycles for contravening road traffic law. But their effort was met with stiff resistance from the hoodlums, leading the policemen to fire multiple teargas canisters.

The ensuing chaos saw passers-by and traders running helter-skelter for cover.

Unrelenting, the hoodlums ran into the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Orientation Camp in the area, from where they threw stones at the policemen.

However, some of the hoodlums who ran into the camps were arrested and beaten severely by soldiers therein.
