Transfers: Tottenham Interested In Sanchez, Coutinho Wants Out, Others

Tottenham Hotspur have made public their intention to sign Davinson Sanchez, Ajax’s centre-back, Sky Sports reports. The Mauricio Pochettino-led team have yet to made any additions to their squad which finished second last season. With Kyle Walker’s move to Manchester City and Kieran Trippier’s injury, the North Londoners will be hoping to get a wing back as well as a midfielder and a striker.

Reports have also said that Barcelona are willing to end their pursuit of Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho and move for Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen.

Liverpool midfielder, Philippe Coutinho has handed in a transfer request opening the door to a Barcelona move. The Brazilian had been a target for the Catalans after the world record move of Neymar to Paris Saint Germain. Reports also said the player had revealed his displeasure at how he is being treated by coach Jurgen Klopp. It was reported that both sides had endured a strained relationship in the last six months.

Jack Colback is set to leave Newcastle United after a training ground row with boss Rafa Benitez. Daily Mail reports that he refused to re-join the first-team squad for training after a team-mate was injured.

Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane has signed a three-year deal, AS has said.  Zidane, who replaced Rafa Benitez as Real Madrid coach in January 2016, has enjoyed superb success in the Bernabeu hotseat, lifting six trophies in the space of 19 months. His salary has reportedly been increased from €4.35 million a year to nearly €8 million a year.
