An Alsatian dog, Bullet, has been arrested by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Lagos State Police Command for alleged robbery. Bullet, along with Odunade Olajide and Adeniyi Adisa, was paraded at the command headquarters. Olajide and Adisa were accused of sending the dog after members of the public in the Ladipo area of Oshodi.
Edgal Imohimi, the state Commissioner of Police, said the dog was a tool to scare targets who surrender their belongings. He said the suspects usually escaped on a motorcycle after robbing their victim. He said they were arrested last Thursday after a lady they attempted to rob raised an alarm.
The suspects, however, denied the allegations saying they had been going to buy dog food before the lady raised a false alarm. They said the police had arrested them before the lady eventually found her phone.
