Two Docked For Theft

Two men, Micheal Sunday Akpan, 25 and Ifeanyi Achilonu, 38 were on Friday arraigned before an Ogba Magistrate court for felony and theft respectively.

The Prosecutor Clement Okomusi said that the suspects committed the offence on August 5 at Dopemu, Lagos.

Okomusi said, “Micheal, you stole two waste closets, two wash hand basin, one water heater, two toilet tanks, three choice mixer tapes, one wash hand basin stand and two pan connector, three telephone shower hose owned by one Obanla Kehinde.

Okomusi also said “Ifeanyi, you received two waste closets, two wash hand basin, one water heater, two toilet tanks, three choice mixer tapes, one wash hand basin stand and two pan connector, three telephone shower hose owned by one Obanla Kehinde.

The Prosecutor said the three count charge of felony, thefty and possession of stolen property contravened Section 411, 287, 329 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges and were granted bail of N200,000 with provision of two sureties who must have letter of recommendation from the Community Development Association of the area they stay.

The sureties must be blood relatives, one of which must be gainfully employed and must have a Lagos State Resident Agency identification.

The court was adjourned to Ooctober 10 for further hearing.
