UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Celtic following the pitch invasion by a fan during the Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday. The fan had run onto the pitch and aimed a flying kick at Kylian Mbappe before he was whisked away by stewards and arrested.
Celtic have been fined over £160,000 by UEFA for fan troubles in six seasons with the latest one being over £20,000 for same offence in their home champions league qualifier against Linfield in July.
PSG have also been charged as a result of some damage that occurred in the section housing their supporters during the game on Tuesday. Both cases will be heard by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on 19 October.
Police have confirmed that there were seven arrests in total at the game, four of whom were still in custody on Wednesday, 13 September.
