Nigeria's Super Eagles have fallen nine places in the latest ranking released by FIFA. The Eagles were ranked 50th in the world, a slide from their previous 41st position. The ranking comes despite the team beating Argentina by 4-2 in a friendly match in Krasnodar, Russia. The side also played a 1-1 draw against Algeria in its final World Cup qualifying match.
The Eagles are now eighth in Africa, behind Senegal, Tunisia, Egypt, Congo DR, Morocco, Burkina Faso and Cameroon.
The world's top 5 remain unchanged with Germany keeping its place as number one. Brazil, Portugal, Argentina and Belgium make up the top five.
