2018 W/Cup: Brazil’s Neymar Happy To Avoid Eagles

Brazil captain, Neymar has said that he is happy his country has not been grouped with Nigeria or any other African country at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He said he was glad his country would not have to cope with the fast pace and physical play of Gernot Rohr’s men.

“We have to be at our best to get a good result particularly in our first game of the tournament. The teams in our group are difficult to play against,” Neymar said.

“But I am happy that we are not in a group where we have to play against African teams like Nigeria. They run a lot and are very physical in their approach. We are no doubt still up against strong sides at the World Cup.”
