A medical doctor, Olagunju Adesola, was Wednesday, arraigned before an Akure Magistrate Court in Ondo State, for allegedly killing an official of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC. Olagunju, who is facing a one-count charge, was said to be driving his Toyota Matrix car with registration number APP 87 DF killed Seinde Abolusoro, a Deputy Route Commander, DRC, of the FRSC while on duty on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the FUTA North Gate axis of the Akure/Ilesha expressway. Martins Olowofeso, the Police Prosecutor, told the court that Olagunju drove in a reckless manner, which was dangerous to traffic on the public road. He said the offence contravene section 18 (15) of the constitution and is punishable also under section 8 (I) RTL cap III Vol. 6 law of the Ondo state of Nigeria 2006. The accused pleaded not guilty to the offence. The presiding magistrate, G.O. Awodeyi, granted the accused bail in the sum of N1 million and a surety in like sum. The case was adjourned till February 1, 2018 for further hearing.
