Some youths in Kwara state have protested the alleged plan by Bukola Saraki, Senate President; Moshood Mustapha also known as MM, his former special adviser on Special Duties and Parliamentary Affairs; and his other associates to return to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The youths, who belong to the state chapter of the party, had displayed placards expressing their displeasure at the rumour after a media briefing by Face of Change, a PDP group.
Some of the placards read: ‘No to Bukola Saraki and cronies in the PDP,’ ‘MM defection is a liability,’ ‘PDP exco, shine your eyes,’ and ‘PDP gov ticket is not for sale.’
Kubrat Adullateef, state coordinator of the group, however, disowned the youths saying they were not part of the conference. Also, Gidado Alakawa, the state Secretary of the party, said the party was not opposed to the entry of new members.
