Lagos residents have been urged to register for National Identity. State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode said doing so has numerous benefits.
“I just finished registering as a proud Nigerian”, said the governor.
“I also urge all Lagosians to do the same.’’
Kayode Adegoke, the Regional Coordinator of the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, also joined the governor in advising residents to participate in the scheme, which can be done in about 50 centres. He said the national identity cards have 18 security features. Also, he said the cards will give ease to owners in whatever service sought for in the country.
