Sudanese football club side, Al Hilal, have parted ways with coach Sergio Farias, a week to the crunch CAF Confederations Cup play-off tie against Nigeria’s Akwa United.
The club Friday on its website, said it sacked the Brazilian manager for failing to reach the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
Al Hilal crashed out of the competition, after losing over two legs to AS Port of Togo.
The club will host the Aiteo Cup winners in the first leg of the Confederations Cup in Omdurman on April 6, before a return fixture to Nigeria a week later.
They are currently placed 6th on the Sudanese Premier League table with 11 points from 5 games.
