An attack suspected to have been masterminded by Fulani herdsmen has led to 25 deaths in Dundu village, Kwall District in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau state. Reports say the carnage took place on Monday night. The casualties are reportedly 19 men, three women and three children. Daniel Kadzia, the village head, said the attackers invaded the village in a commando style. He also said the gunmen carried out the killing at a time youths and men had gone for mining. Also, Laraba Yohanna, mother of the deceased children, said they were playing under the moonlight before the attackers killed them. Similarly, gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, had also killed four persons in Jos, the state capital. The victims were said to be children below the age of 10. Despite President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the state, attacks in communities have persisted.
