A man alleged to have killed ab army corporal attached to the Army Headquarters Special Force has been arrested, says the Nigerian Army. The said Corporal Mamman was killed on 27 February, 2018. Texas Chukwu, brigadier-general and spokesperson for the army, said the suspect, Mohammed Bashir was arrested during a raid on Irovochinomi and Egee communities within Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State. Recovered from the suspects, the army said, were “2 AK 47 rifles with registration number 58008731 and 45 rounds of 7.62mm special was recovered”. “A follow up on the operation led to recovery of additional 2 AK 47 rifles”, the army stated. The army said “intensive patrol across the state” made the suspect’s arrest possible.
