Robbers Burgle Primate Ayodele’s Church


Armed robbers have invaded INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, owned by Primate Elijah Ayodele, in the Isolo area of Lagos state. The men carted away N100,000 in cash found in the offering box as well as the preacher's N300,000 wireless microphone. Other items stolen include an international passport belonging to one Mojidat Anjorin.

PM Express reports that some residents have expressed shock that the robbery occurred without the security personnel and the Primate's knowledge. They said it was noticed when they had been preparing for church service that the items and some money had been stolen.

Police have arrested one Abdulahi Ibrahim, 21, in connection with the robbery. He has been arraigned at the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for burglary and stealing. He pleaded not guilty and was was granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum. The matter has been adjourned till March 23, 2018.
