Super Falcons Forward, Fransisca Ordega has returned to her club, Washington Spirits after a long break.
The player was previously loaned to Atletico Madrid's female football team, 'Atletico Femino' due to the long break in the U.S female soccer league calendar.
The former Rivers Angels attacker on Sunday thanked the management, staff, technical crew, players and fans of the Atletico club for their support during her stay.
"Thank to @atleticofemino for giving me the awesome opportunity to play for this great team…..its hard for me to leave a place and amazing people like you all…..a place that give me incredible memories, she wrote on Instagram.
“I will never forget all of the friends I made during my stay in hurry …….I love you all and am rooting for you guys. My thought and prayers are with you all.
“Now back to my adopted country and club @washingstonspirit….happy to be back looking forward to a greater season with the spirit this year.”
Though Ordega made seven appearances for Atletico Femino without scoring, her impressive display for her parent club, secured her brief loan to the Spanish side. The mercurial forward has scored 10 goals in 43 matches for Washington Spirit since joining in 2015.
