The Lagos state government’s children’s welfare unit has withdrawn from a mother her 3-year-old twin sons over their involvement in homosexual acts. The mother Patience Ishau reportedly videoed her two sons performing homosexual acts on each other, which she sent to her husband, Emmanuel Ekanta, and uploaded online.
The husband reported the matter to the police, who decided to involve the Child Protection Unit, in the Lagos’ Ministry of Youths and Social Development. Edgal Imohimi and officials of the children welfare unit visited twins mum at her the Plot 2, Olugbemiga Ladipo Street, Lekki, residence on Wednesday. Patience alleged her husband might be responsible for the twins unbecoming act, adding the children were always behaving strangely each time they returned from spending time with their father. She also added that her husband abandoned her and the kids to put up with an older woman.
“I shot the video clip and sent it to him to see the damage he has done to the children. He left me for an old woman”, she said.
“He usually comes to pick the children but whenever they return, they would be acting strangely and be speaking vulgar words. At times, they would complain of pains in their anus.
“Their teacher even said they were stooling blood. When I complained to him, he would not listen. The first day I saw them doing it was when I videoed them as evidence, my Pastor is even aware of the case.
“They have conducted deliverance on them. At a point, I told him to stop taking my children to his place because he has different people he brought from Cameroun staying with him,” said Patience. The mother admitted failing in her responsibility to properly train the children.
On his part, the estranged husband denied culpability in the kids’ homosexual acts. “I was so shocked seeing the clip because she did not even express any surprise while taking the shot, nor scold them. We separated barely a year because she was extremely violent,” he said.
The police believed some adults might have led the kids into such acts and promised to investigate the matter.
