American hip hop act, J Cole who dropped his 5th studio album ‘KOD” a few days ago has arrived Nigeria.
The rapper who has been topping charts worldwide with singles like ”ATM’‘ and ”Kevin’s Heart” off the new project was spotted at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport upon his arrival into the country.
In a tweet posted by the organizers of the event, they announced that, ”He is here”.
J Cole touched down at the Murtal Muhammed international airport last night as he’s set to headline the Castle Lite Unlocks concert scheduled to hold at Eko Hotel on Friday 27th April, 2018 with performances from other Nigerian superstars like MI, Davido, Falz, Ycee and others.
J. Cole’s new music project KOD, has broken the U.S. record for the most album stream in the first 24 hours of its release.
His total of 64.5 million streams knocks Drake out of the top slot, whose 2016 album Views was the title holder up until this week with around a million less streams in 24 hours.
On top of that, seven songs from Cole’s KOD are in the top 10 of Apple Music’s most-streamed songs in a 24-hour period.
News of this streaming feat follows word that Cole’s title track ‘KOD’ broke the opening day streaming record for Spotify; Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” previously held the record.
