Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele has dismissed rumour linking him with a shock from the Catalans this summer. The 20-year-old, who joined from Borussia Dortmund in January, has found game-time hard to come by and recent reports have linked him with a move away from the club.
The French forward has said that he intends to honour his five-year contract at Nou Camp and fight for a steady place in Ernesto Valverde’s side.
”I signed a five-year contract at Barcelona. I’m going to be in Barcelona a very long time. I’m not going to leave after a season,” he told Telefoot.
”I’m not in my best form, but little by little, it’s coming back. I still have to work on my cardio because I get tired very quickly.”
Dembele suffered a left thigh injury, which ruled him out for three-and-a-half-months, shortly after his arrival in Spain. He has since recovered and played just 12 La Liga games starting only seven of them.
