Ray Wilkins, a Chelsea and Manchester United legend, has died aged 61. He had suffered a cardiac arrest and hit his head at his home in Cobham last week. In Wilkins’ playing days, he won the Player of the Year award in 1976 an 1977 before assisting Carlo Ancelotti to lift the Premier League and the FA Cup in the 2009/10 campaign. He also helped Manchester United to the FA Cup in 1982, appearing 160 times for the Red Devils and 84 times for the Three Lions including appearances at the 1982 and 1986 World Cups. He also managed Queens Park Rangers, Fulham and Jordan’s national team.
