‘Dreaded’ Armed Robber Arrested In Lagos


An armed robbery suspect the police say was “dreaded” in the Ojo and Ajangbadi areas of Lagos state has been arrested. The suspect, Kamoru Tosin, 25, was reportedly arrested after the police was tipped off about his whereabouts.  Recovered from him are an English Berretta Pistol, a Honda motorcycle with Reg No. EKY-993-QJ, motor spare parts, assorted charms and cell Phones.

Also, five other suspected robbers were arrested at different locations in the state.

The police command told of a botched robbery attack on a woman living in the Itire, Mushin axis of the state.

The victim, identified with one name, Dorothy, was dispossessed of her phone and cash. She raised an alarm, which the police said attracted nearby officers. “The robbers were given a chase and were arrested”, the police claimed. Chinedu Vincent, 21, one of the suspects involved in the attack, led the police to arrest other gang members. They are

Isa Lasisi, 20, Samson Fabiyi, 33 years, Fatayi Saka, 20 and Ajakaiye Rilwan, 21.

The police said all the suspects are helping them with their investigation.
