Five gunmen Monday shot dead a police sergeant, while they also abducted an expatriate in Kano. The gunmen reportedly shot at the vehicle conveying Michael Cremza, a German national, working with Dantata and Sawoe Company in the state.
The incident occurred along Sabon Titi Madobi Road, Kano, around 7:45am.
Musa Majia, spokesman of the police in the state, said the command has deployed a “powerful team of operatives and detectives” to cordon the axis.
“The police commissioner Rabiu Yusuf has since deployed a powerful team of operatives and detectives to cordon the axis with a view to arresting the culprits and rescue the victim. Manhunt of the abductors is ongoing,” he said.
