Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo netted a brace on Sunday to give his club, Changchun Yatai a 2-1 victory over Shanghai SIPG in the Chinese Super League.
Ighalo opened scoring in the 14th minute with an assist from Zheng Jiang, but Shanghai leveled the scores before half time with a fantastic finish from Lei Wu.
After the break, Yatai dominated play, putting Shanghai on the back foot. The pressure however paid off in the 69th minute, when the Nigerian scored his second of the game.
Brazilian international, Hulk, missed a golden opportunity to level the scoreline for SIPG eight minutes later. The former FC Porto forward missed a spot kick awarded them.
Changchun Yatai have now recorded back to back victories, with Ighalo scoring 6 goals in 2 matches, and 7 in the season.
