Manchester City have won Premier League after Manchester United lost 1-0 to relegation bound West Brom at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Old Trafford side had delayed their city rivals’ celebration last week after pulling a stunning comeback at the Etihad to win 2-3.
A win for United at Old Trafford would have meant that City would have to wait for another week to be certain of being crowned champions, despite their 1-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday at Wembly.
West Bromwich Albion, who are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League and are certain to be relegated at the end of the season, shocked Old Trafford after Jay Rodriguez nodded past David de Gea from close range for a shock lead in the second half.
However, Jose Mourinho's men, playing in front of their fans, failed to rise to the occasion. Their best chance all through the game was a penalty shout in the first half after Craig Dawson fouled Ander Herrera in the box.
Their defeat handed Guardiola his second trophy in England and first Premier League. The Champions lead second place United with 16 points and only 15 points accruable from the remaining five games.
