A pastor, his wife and a deacon have accused one another of engaging in marital infidelity. Joshua Ibeneme, the pastor and church founder, said the deacon and another bishop had sex with his wife. Ibeneme said the duo would later taunt him with it. More painful to me was that his wife, Uzoamaka has denied him sex for the past five years despite allegedly getting involved in the tryst.
“My wife starved me of sex for over five years … but she gives it to my members freely,” said the 53-years-old pastor. More so, Ibeneme said his wife’s antics were not unknow to their last child, who always told him “men came to pick and drop my wife”. Added, Pastor Ibeneme said his wife would always accuse him of having amorous affairs with women who visit their home for counselling.
However, the wife denied.
Uzoamaka said her husband is lustful of other women, which is the reason they fight. Also, she denied any sexual affair with both the deacon and the bishop. Rather, Uzoamaka accused his husband of sleeping with the bishop’s wife.
“I never slept with the two men who claimed that they slept with me, they just wanted to tarnish my image, my husband is dating the wife of the deacon,” she said.
She admitted denying her husband sex, saying she hated sex but would only got married for procreation.
The pastor and his wife have three children before them and had been married for 21 years.
The counter accusations were part of their testimonies before an Igando Customary Court hearing their divorce suit. While Ibeneme urged the court to dissolve the marriage, his wife (Uzoamaka) pleaded against it. She claimed to still love her husband.
The court president, Akin Akinniyi, urged the couple to maintain peace and adjourned the case to May 10 for judgment.
