The Federal High Court Abuja, on Tuesday, fixed June 5 for ruling on the bill raked up by President Muhammadu Buhari while receiving medical attention in London.
Trial judge, John Tsoho picked the date after parties to the suit adopted their court processes. The suit was instituted by the Incorporated Trustees of Advocacy for Societal Rights Advancement and Development Initiative, ASRADI. The non-profit-organisation demanded the Governor of Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele disclose the cost of the medical treatment. The suit also asked to know the cost of keeping presidential jet and crew for the 103 days the president spent in London. The CBN argued that it was not within its purview to disclose the cost of President Buhari’s statement. The CBN governor said the President’s Chief of Staff was in the position to do so.
