Speakers of state assemblies from the South-West have expressed their condolences to the Oyo state government over the death of the speaker of the state assembly, Hon. Michael Adeyemo. Adeyemo died of a heart attack last Friday; he was aged 47.

Hon.  Najeemdeen Salam, the Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, who spoke on behalf of  the other speakers,  said Adeyemo was a good companion in his lifetime.

“The late Adeyemo contributed his best to humanity through adequate legislation and sustenance of peace in the state assembly.

“He prevented rancour that usually trails  the executive and legislature  in most democratic settings,” he said.

He prayed for the repose of Adeyemo’s soul and fortitude for the governor to bear his loss.
