2019 Election May Not Hold – Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has said the 2019 general elections might not hold owing to various killings across the country. The clergyman said this during the church's Holy Ghost service held on Friday at the Redemption Camp, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

He, therefore, urged his church's members to pray for peace and God's intervention in the killings going on in the country.

The 76-year-old pastor also disabused the minds of church workers against the spreading attack on church tithing.

Quoting Bible verses to support his stand, Adeboye said God commanded the paying of tithes.  Citing Matthew 23:23, the clergyman said it behoved Christians to obey God's teachings.
"The problem is that some people have realised that the church is becoming more influential and one of the sources of funding for the church is through tithe. And because they are becoming scared of the church hence the attack. Please don't listen to them," he advised.
