The 6,000 persons to be enlisted into the Nigeria Police will undergo among other things HIV and psychiatric tests. They will also be tested for drug use, visual clarity, blood pressure, tuberculosis etc.
A statement by Jimoh Moshood, an Assistant Commissioner and spokesperson for the Force, listed the tests to be conducted and added women would take pregnancy test, too.
“Psychological evolution of the candidates which covers psychological interview, personality and integrity as well as drug screening”, Moshood said in a statement released by the force.
