Issac Adewole, Minister of Health, has said that Yusuf, son of President Muhammadu Buhari was treated in Nigeria. He said Yusuf was only flown to Germany for rehabilitation after his involvement in bike accident.

“He (Yusuf) had his surgery in Nigeria. He just went to Germany for rehabilitation. Take that from me as the honourable minister,” he said.

According to Adewole, “the president asked his son to be treated in Nigeria. Even when people were clamouring that his son should be flown abroad, he said no.”

Yusuf had in December, 2017, sustained injuries after he was involved in bike accident around Gwarimpa in Abuja.
