Senator Abiodun Olujimi has stepped down for Dayo Adeyeye in the ongoing governorship primary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ekiti state. She announced her decision shortly before voting began at Dove Hall, venue of the primary.
“For the benefit of our party, I offer myself and I transfer my structure to Prince Adeyeye.” Olujimi steps down for Adeyeye,” she said.
The ticket is now between Adeyeye and Kolapo Olusola, who is Ayodele Fayose’s preferred candidate.
The electoral committee is chaired by Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta state. A total of 1,966 delegates were accredited for the exercise.
