Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp has revealed that forward, Sadio Mane is injured again.
Speaking at Friday’s press conference, ahead of the club's penultimate Premier League final fixture of the season, the German said Mane had suffered a fresh injury and could miss out against brighton on Sunday at Anfield.
“It’s a fresh problem. ‘I’m pretty close!”, Klopp said about Mane.
“We will see. It is not the same injury.
Liverpool need three points against Brighton to all but secure a spot for Champions League football for next season.
The former Borussia Dortmund coach didn't say if the injury would rule the Senegalese out of the Champions League final against Real Madrid on May 26.
Mane has been in fine form for Liverpool this campaign, having scored 19 goals in all competitions this season.
He injured his right knee in the 5-2 first leg win in the Champions League semi-final against AS Roma at Anfield, which sparked rumors that he could miss the second leg in Rome a week later.
He however went on to score Liverpool's first goal in the second leg at the Olympic stadium, with Georgino Wjnaldum scoring the other, which was enough to see them through to the final on 7-6 aggregate.
