The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has faulted the outcomes of the last Saturday’s local government poll held in Kaduna state. The party, in a press statement, claimed results were altered in areas the PDP won. The PDP cited Governor Nasir el-Rufai’s ward as one of the areas in which it led with over 90% percent of the votes cast before the alleged alteration.
Moreover, the PDP deplored the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission, accusing it of colluding with APC.
“It is totally intolerable for KADSIECOM, working in cahoots with the discredited APC, to engage in the manipulation of the collation process by changing the figures and announcing final results that are different from figures tallied at the polling centers”, said the PDP statement. The party urged the KADSIECOM’s Chairman, Dr. Saratu Binta Dikko-Audu to withdraw the results. The PDP said Dikko-Audu’s decision will either put her “on side of truth, justice and honour or on the side of corruption, treachery and infamy.”
