Stoger Leaves Borussia Dortmund

Peter Stoger has left his post as manager of Bundesliga club,  Borussia Dortmund. The 52-year-old announced he will part ways with the club following their 3-1 loss at Hoffenheim on the final day of the season. The Yellow and Blacks managed to qualify for the Champions League after finishing above Leverkusen on goal difference.

Stoger only took over from the sacked Peter Bosz in December having himself been relieved of his duties at Cologne a week earlier.

Nice’s Lucien Favre, who has previously had spells with Hertha Berlin and Borussia Monchengladbach, is widely expected to step in at Signal Iduna Park. Should he take over, the veteran Swiss will be tasked with turning the club back into title contenders.
