Femi Fani-Kayode, former spokesperson for the defunct Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, has said that strange forces are responsible for the glitches Ibrahim Idris, the Inspector General of Police, suffered while he was delivering a speech at the commissioning of the Force Technical Intelligence Unit in Kano on Monday.
Fani-Kayode said via Twitter that rather than make fun of him, Nigerians should pray for him.
''Our I-G of Pol. needs prayers and we must treat him with compassion. What happened to him whilst reading his infamous "transmission" speech was not ordinary.
''He is the victim of dark spirits and satanic forces. We must not gloat over it or laugh at him.Instead we must pray for him,'' Fani-Kayode tweeted via his official handle.
Videos of Idris repeating the word, ''transmission'' and generally struggling to pronounce his words correctly had surfaced on social media late Wednesday.
